Is anyone else getting this?  I have quite distinct banding in the sky especially at dawn and dusk.  I also see rings around the moon.

I am using Ultra settings with 8xAA at 1820 x1080 and I am getting a steady 60fps.

I have tried to take screenshots in Fraps but for some strange reason the banding doesn't show up in them.

is anyone else seeing this?

Cheers

Has been a few weeks since I have launched BOS, but yes I typically see banding as well.

Good. So it's not just me then :)

Nope, and it is not your monitor either. :)

Yes, this banding of the sky is distinctly visible over Stalingrad where the columns of smoke rise and then get unnaturally split at this demarcation.

How long is a donkey's year?

It's twice as long as an mule's semi-anniversary.

Best answer I've heard! Can you change that into dog years?  :P

Its is 42 isn't it? or is that the meaning of life?  I always get them mixed up :)

Yes. I really wish we were using 48/42bit colour.

Unfortunately we're still stuck using relatively low color depth and have been for donkey's years.

Um, if the one on the left is '42 Bit Color', how is it showing on my 32-bit display?

:You just "bit" off more than you can chew....

If I had to guess, the banding is probably due to their implementation of hdr. Thus is something that happens when you don't have enough bit depth for the buffer. Pretty dissapointing mistake tbh.

Its very noticeable on my ips monitor.
