TRRA15 Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 A few days ago I wanted to test the new P51B in Quick Missions and noticed that it was renamed 'Quick Mission Generator' and this had lots of pull down menu options for semi-pre made scenarios. Then last night I went to fly and see that feature gone and the "classic" Quick Missions being back. I've found no reference to any of this searching the forums. Was it just an experimental trial?
FlyingH Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 It depends on map chosen, I think there´s a list floating somewhere on the forum.

AEthelraedUnraed Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Indeed, it's only enabled for the maps mentioned above. Besides that, you have to manually switch between the "classic" and "advanced" quick missions. On maps where the advanced quick missions are enabled, you'll see semi-transparent icons corresponding to the available countries (Balkenkreuz for the Germans, red star for USSR, white star USA, RAF roundel UK). Click those to switch to the advanced mode.

--[---MAILMAN---- Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 (edited) I see in the UI there is no choice (at least I have not found out how) for increasing the distance between the spawn points of the opposing planes when the quick mission launches in the quick mission generator. The enemy plane is so close you barely have time to take it off of autopilot and jink out of the way of oncoming bullets. Is there a way to increase the separation of the aircraft spawn points in the quick mission generator (not the advanced quick mission builder)? Thanks for any help. Not in the one versus one scenario. But if you select the three versus three scenario, you can select the distance and if you want a duel or if you want to chase your opponent or want to be chased by him and here you can also fly one versus one. BTW it also works on the Velikje Luki, Novosolski (or something like that) and Lapino map.
spreckair Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 You can access all of the maps under the Quick Missions option. All of the maps allow a player to start a quick mission. However, only the Moscow, Stalingrad, Kuban, and Bodenplatte maps have both the Quick Mission capability and the Advanced Quick Mission Builder capability. The Quick Mission capability is accessed on the map by clicking on one of the large circular icons (with one plane, two planes, six planes, one tank, two tanks, six tanks); the Advanced Quick Mission Builder is accessed on the map by clicking on the icon with a nationality roundel image (German cross, US star, Russian star, UK roundel, etc.).
--[---MAILMAN---- Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Thank you for you replies and instructions. I already knew how to access both the quick mission generator and advanced quick mission generator and have used both. I just find it odd you can't change the spawn distances to further apart when 1 vs. 1. I will have to check out the 3 vs. 3. BTW I have been using Bodenplatte map when in the quick mission generator. Another question is what units of measure (range to your target aircraft) show up when you reviewing flight records or practicing gunnery/deflection shooting in the quick mission generator. I want to equate the displayed range to the size of the aircrraf on my gunsight so it becomes second nature when on a server using expert settings. ln my preferences I had chosen unit of measure by plane type. Does this apply when viewing flight records and using the Q.M.G.?
