IL2 doesn´t start at all! Maybe solved?

I was getting back to the sim earlier today made a short flight in QMB and checked my control settings, adjusted a few and got shot down! (after beeing away for a few months from flying I didn´t expect any more. A few hours later I sat down to fly again started the Target app, TIr and clicked tha game icon (the IL2Sturmovik.exe) I got a short blink and then nothing! Went into the IL2/bin/game folder and clicked the exe there, nothing, tried the restarter.exe, same thing, nothing. Started the Event handler to see if the game was active but no! Tried the exe again and the game was activated for a few seconds then disappeared!

Tried to restart the PC, nothing, removed the update folder and started the launcher that checked the files and dled the latest update, them I tried again but nogo.

Is there a log somewhere that can explain what is happening?

Update, put the PC in energy saving mode over night and tried to start IL2 this morning and lo and behold it started but I had to redo my grphic, sound and controller settings (not the commands though but stick/mouse VR a.s.o). As for now it runs!

Could be solved!?
