Oleg's masterpiece had 2 Dora`s, a 1944 & 45 model. The 45 model ran Mw50, the 44 has some other type of boost, the A9 had this boost as well it starts with N

Was there a sub variation of the Dora 9? or was it "fantasy"

I do have books on the 190, volumes 2 and 3 but cant find any reference to production differences

Yes, initial deliveries of the D-9 did not have an MW 50 system installed. The one we have here is a mid-production variant that entered service around December 1944.

The early (1944) dora was running on synthetic fuel (C3) with higher octane, so after the synthetic fuel refineries were being destroyed and the stock of C3 was starting to dry up, they modified the engine to run with lower grade (B4) fuel.  B4 was more plentiful and they used the water methanol injection to bring the power up to the levels of the earlier C3 boosted dora.

The Jumo 213 was designed to run on B4 and that's exactly what the eraly Doras used.

C3 was never used operationally in the Dora.

It’s really unfortunate that we didn’t get the earlier 1900hp setup as a baseline with MW50 as a mod in BoX.

Same for FW 190A-8 which should have "Erhöhte Notleistung" as a mod since they only started using that power from July 1944.

Emergency power setting for the BMW 801. Allowed ten minutes of a much higher boost pressure, (1.65 ATA?) than the standard 1.4ish?
