This mod resets haze parameters to zero when zero is selected. Overcasts at 0.2 as normal. Pre 4.702

Sorry. I can't seem to get this to work. I have set haze to zero in the QMB but still seems to have haze despite this. Activated using the mod enabler, game version V4.702b. I'm I missing a setting? Thanks for your efforts!!

a temporary fix is to set draw distance to max. 150km...it helped me alot.

now i play on a monitor so the FPS hit was not big but

NAKE and others who play in VR say they are experiencing a large FPS drop.

Yea, that seemed to help some. Thanks!!

This works perfectly, thank you.

It unfortunately didn't bring back the 5 or 6 fps that was lost in VR after the latest patch, but visibility is as it was before.

Possibly the fps hit is a shader issue. I’m sure it will be fixed when the team gets off from they’re holiday.

And totally unrelated, I have noticed that the game hangs for a few seconds when exiting the game itself. Never had seen this before. Anyone else noticed this?

i too noticed this since the patch before the last...the new clouds patch.

also, the p51b does not seem to recognize bomb drop mode feature.

with 2 wing mounted bombs, they drop simultaneously.

If I remember correctly, that P51 doesn’t have that option.

Did anyone notice the ground textures are way down scaled now even when all settings are maxed out ? In the distance too, the landscape looks bad. Is this a glitch now ? or are they aware of this fuck up yet ?

you are correct TopGun, unfortunately this is the long accepted practice by programmers  trying to add

new features constantly to an old/aging source engine.

landscape fidelity takes a very large salary cap hit for you NFL fans.

for airsim games that money is better spent on cloud visuals, better damage modelling, etc.

the devs have said after Normandy, since it's almost complete and alot of work has gone into it...

il2 great battles will be pioneering a brand new source code going forward.

10 years is a long time to run/optimize a decade old design.

DCS, yours is even older and looks it.

i don't see a reversal of landscape fidelity happening.

When have the devs ever said this?

This is not what we have ever said.

Exactly. It's not that nothing is going to happen just that it's never been said.

I can imagine IL-2 with the same landscape as the 'Subsistence' game. That would be amazing - although you can tell I'm no programmer, it's just a fantasy. The immersion factor of IL-2 is already super high, but anything that continues to raise that most important aspect (for me at least) is most welcome. I've never spoken to you before, so while I'm here I'd like to thank you for your amazing work. It really is appreciated.
