High Altitude Bombing and the New Clouds

I sort of poo poo'd the new clouds as being awfully fluffy and not well defined when they first came out.  After last night's mission I have to change my mind on that.

 

We had a high altitude bombing mission with three A20's.  When we took off the airstrip was in bright sun.  As we got to altitude we saw multiple cloud structures and rainstorms on the horizon.  Our route took as thru several of them with the windscreen getting wet and dry as we passed thru.  We could see "god-rays" as the sunlight broke through the clouds and hit the ground.  Had the experience of almost needing to turn on my dashboard lights because the cockpit got so dark, but than the sun broke thru from behind me and lit up my cockpit.

 

It is not like all this weather made our job easier, it actually made it harder, but the immersiveness was incredible. 

 

It is like the weather has become an AI player in the game!
