Hello,
can someone explain to me what this "VR render left / right eye display option" is all about?!?
On the other hand, it is intended that you use the tracer in more distant air battles or shelling of
Aiming no longer sees? As far as I understand, the visibility of tracers is said to be restricted by clouds!

You now can choose to render what your left or right eye sees in VR to your monitor. You have to edit the config file and change to 0 to 1 or -1

Thanks for your Answer DD_Crash

Thank you DD_Crash,  could you please be more specific as to which file needs to be edited for this work.

Open the start up file in the Great Battles Data folder. You will see a line in the graphics section that says or_render_eye = 0. change the 0 to 1

...or -1 to show the left eye on the monitor. Best to show whatever eye you use for aiming.

If you get rid of your startup.cfg and have the game generate a new one the setting should already be there, you just have to set your 1.  It will also go back to automatically restarting the game for you once you swap graphics settings, without the hang.  Had some bad times with output to simshaker also until the file was dumped for a new one.  Might be its getting corrupted, not surprising being on win 11.  Anyway cured lots of ill's for me generating a new clean file.

I had to make my startup.cfg read only as the game would overwrite it and change the or_render_eye back to the default every time I loaded it.

Hi, here's a quick how-to:

You need to go open your startup.cfg file in your IL-2 directory, for example, mine is:

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\startup.cfg

Here's the line you need to add and a screenshot of my VR cfg file (if it doesn't exist, mine didn't).

or_render_eye = -1

Hello everyone, I know there’s no connection between the games, but there’s a similarity in not being able to render the right eye at all—only the left. It seems to be something with Unity itself, which has set the left eye as dominant.

The game in question is Into The Radius. The options to change the eye consist of opening the SteamVR mirror display, setting the dominant eye (or both with one as dominant), and recording that screen with OBS or any other software.

The problem with this is that performance drops drastically. Even when using OpenVR directly through OBS, the result is very poor, and I don’t know why.

When I record just the game’s screen, performance is exceptional, staying above 120 FPS.

This forum is the only one where I’ve seen people discussing this topic technically, without guessing. I apologize if I’m breaking any rules or making a mistake.

well, other than posting in the wrong forum and dragging up a 3 year old necro thread on your first try... nah. I would imagine this will get locked soon, so you might try posting a question in the VR forum instead.
