There's a Spanish forum here: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/73-foro-español/. Otherwise, please ask your questions in English.

From the title I understand you're looking for a VR headset. I use the Oculus Quest 2 and am pretty satisfied with it. It offers good value for money. I bought mine for around €350. It's got a good resolution as well.

Tenía Oculus Quest y ahora tengo HP Reverb G2.

And just in case google got it wrong:

Happy New Year my Spanish friend.

I hope that is correct, as I am using google translate.

I had Oculus Quest and now I own HP Reverb G2.
Not cheap like others, but great experience for the money.

THX all ;)

I apologize if the forum is in Spanish but my IL2 FORUM is in Spanish when I want to post in English.

I forgot to say that I am 65 years old and my eyesight is not what it had when it was the IL2 Sturmovik, now I have to wear glasses because of age. The question is if the viewers have contemplated this?

Hola,

Ya no he tenido nunca mas problemas

saludos

65 Years young?

Well, from an Aussie, I would like to say: Good on you mate.

As an extra note. depending on what the eyesight issue is, most VR head sets now cater for corrective inserts if required.

Best answer for your age? Learn how to attach a photo of a young senorita to the panel of your aircraft (can be done) and you will be flying like a 19 year old full of love and passion.

Great to have you aboard.

Many VR headsets have adjustable focus, so if you don't need too much correction, you might not even need glasses. If your eyes are about equally bad, that is (my right eye is -3 while my left is more or less alright, so with my right eye I mostly see a blur).

I can confirm this works for 30-year-olds as well

I'm in the same boat, age related stigmatism, and need reading glasses.  However my medium range vision is still excellent, and the effects of this is its easier and more relaxing to see while in VR.  So you won't really know until you give it a try.  It's easier for me to spend an hour or two in VR than watching a TV or looking at a monitor, my eyes are much more relaxed in VR, no glasses needed.

I need glasses to read - bad enough that I absolutely cannot read letters on a screen without them.  I do not need them to do most other things.

I have a Reverb G2.  I fly without glasses.  I do use a mod that gives me only a small dot icon and I admit that I need that.  I also use mini map icons to help me understand which way I should be looking.  Those are the only spotting aids that I use..

I use a quest2.  I have bifocals.  no issues.  I do plan on getting a set of prescription inserts for the visor though, just cause it will be easier putting on and taking off the visor, and sometimes I get some glare off my glasses lenses.
