Will not update ?

I have been playing  Battle of Stalingrad for some time now with Battle of Bodenplatte and  P-38J-25 Collector Plane,  i have clicked on the latest   Update 4.702  its 3% in and paused, and will not resume???. and it says i cannot play the game until i finish the update.and it won't validate the game either  i have done everything the steam site says to do, but no luck?  I also have IL-2 Sturmovik cliffs of Dover/desert wings, which are working fine. Can any one help please.?

I understand you're using the Steam version?

 

Make sure your internet connection is fine. Reboot your PC, see if that helps. Else, re-install. Make sure you backup startup.cfg and the input and career folders.
