How do you gift a plane to someone?

When you check out it says, buy as gift,   after that, how does it work?

You type in their known name or registered email address on IL-2, such as "Vishnu" and it is sent to them with a notification.

Can I gift a plane to myself? Because it says I already own it (on steam) and I want it in the standalone version.

While still logged in (or later, log in again) to to Profile,

and then to License keys.

 

What you have bought that can be gifted will have a button to send the key to another member. Once you press it, it will let you specify the member's userID. That's it.

I believe you could if you unlink your accounts. However, I think you can start IL-2 without Steam. I think. Search around an answer.
