out of memory with this update, ideas?

i missed the last 2 patches, have IL2 on a 128g thumbdrive whose sole purpose is IL2 and now it is unable to continue the patch as the patches have taken to my amazement all of the memory! any ideas on what i should do? i guess just reinstall on my laptop which has extra space then copy paste onto thumbdrive but its such a hassle :(

Guess 128 is not enough IMO. Most laptops use one USB (3?) controller chip and most usb data go through the one bus., keyboard, mouse and all.

You might have more ports, but all use the same controller probably.

My guess would be get an external drive, but be aware that that needs power and with one USB port that might be a problem.

Externally powered drive?

 

If you're lucky you got more controllers; my old 2015 Dell Precision has that, but then the GPU is too slow these days.
