The haze.

Regarding color, here are some options if you like:

I was using the stock color older winter lighting overtop of Rowdy's cloud mod.

The stock isn't stock anymore -- it is the lighting prior to the big cloud enhancement patch. Perhaps somebody is interested in that (?).

The "older winter" goes back a ways. It makes the winters "colder" and the colors far less vibrant. The developers made a change a few years back making colors more vibrant and winters far warmer --- this just reverts back to what they were.

Anyway, play around with them and see what you like and if you want to change. Use JSGME for installation (and yes, "Mods ON").

I am still trying to decide myself. I left the original I was using in when updated (Stock Lighting Old Winter) and I didn't see the need to change, but am just now exploring the new "stock" lighting. Not sure what I will go with, but I do think I like the lighting from the old winter better --- just fits the season more, imho.

Anyway, here they are to play around with if you like as somebody may prefer any of these to current new stock(?) - decide for yourself:

Stock Lighting (Pre Cloud upgrade).zip

Stock Lighting (pre cloud) + Older winter.zip Older winter lighting.zip

The new "Haze" stuff in the Hotfix doesn't look that bad in 2D, but It really does put washed out look in VR even with the 150km view setting, almost like my VR googles are smudged with something, in fact when the update came out the other day, I kept taking my headset off and cleaning it thinking it was dirty.  Would it be possible to have two different settings for VR users and 2D users? It seems like this is negativity effecting VR users more than the 2D guys. IMO it looks fine on a monitor but when you have a screen an inch from your face it really feel like a huge step back from where the graphics where prepatch.

Everything is so, but you never know in advance why you will jump up and down yourself and whether you want to get out. :)

Developers recognize there is a problem, they will try to find a fix, no one is acting entitled, there is a problem and it needs to be solved.

If you dont see it is because you might have distance set to 150KM. (or you just have no idea what you are talking about)

I am using quest 2 VR headset.

Yesterday i tried to reset my drawing distance from 70 km to 150 km and then i saw some lower fps . i didn't see any considerable change in haze density thought.

Do you other VR users had considerable fps losses using 150 km drawing distance from 70 km and as a result a far better and more clear (haze free) view doing that?

What other settings except drawing distance did you change to solve the problem like gamma correction or anything else?

Personally i hope devs will do something to solve that problem  really soon...

They are looking into it this week.

Just give it a little time.

I only changed draw distance to 150KM, however there is some loss in FPS, for now it is a temporary fix.
