Click Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Hello all, Just had a quick go on the P51/B, Could not the flaps to retract after take,...... I.E permanently down position. That's all Click
Props Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) This could be a couple of things. Mine are working just fine on the P-51B so there may be something on your joy button/key assignment wrong, or a inadvertent change due to the update? I remember on an update a few months back that I had a couple of button assignments that I had to correct - just one or 2 for some reason -, but all was A-OK after that. Try clearing and re-assigning the joy button / key assignment and see if that helps. Also if you have your flaps deployed for some quick turns, or to slow down for a dive bombing attack at the start of the descent, they can jam from excessive speeds in a dive. I had that happen me to me early on when I first started flying the P-51D. The 10% flaps position is supposed to handle very high speeds, but the others not so much (the P-51D has a placard on the port side cockpit with safe flap deployment speeds listed, haven't even looked in the P-51B for this so I will look today when I fly). Edit: After flying today in the "B" I noticed that the Flaps Speed placard is on the Right side of the cockpit instead of the left like the "D". I hope you can get this fixed. S! While noise is playing, hidraukic is getting ready. 1
