As usual, I will make a pack of 6 x machines, including a "generic" skin to apply the numbering provided in the game.

The skins are prepared on the wonderful template from IDCP that I want to thank here.

i Would like to thanks too, Mr Albin Denis for his extremely detailed web site: http://albindenis.free.fr/Site_escadrille/escadrille066.htm

On French Army Air forces during WWI

ESCADRILLE 66  - Insignia " Egyptian Falcon"

BR66 was a Bombardment and Reconnaissance squadron - in service from October 1915, it fought first on the Caudron G4, then on Soptwith B10 and to finish on the Breguet XIV when it was dissolved in Mokotow (Poland) in May of 1919.

In ten months during 1918 year, she took part in fifty bombing operations, fought seventy-nine fights and destroyed ten enemy planes.

She received 4 citations to the order of the army  and French decoration "Croix de Guerre" with 4 x Bronze palms.

As early as 1915, the crews of the Escadrille 66 squadron each had a personal badge painted on the sides of the engine spindles of their planes. The shapes and colors varied depending on the crew.

In March 1916, Cne Adrien de Kérillis adopted as his emblem an Egyptian falcon seen from the front with the wings outstretched. It could be painted on a sun. The author of this badge was Sgt Jacques Rapin, pilot of the squadron, former student of Fine Arts and architect.

According to some documents:

The BR66 aircrafts were all manufactured by the Michelin Factory in Clermont Ferrand, and therefore ... as a result: Correction of the serial numbering of the machines using the characters specific to Michelin.

Correction of the "lift HERE" stencils which differ slightly from those used by IDCP (the remarkable author of the template)

Correction (in fact, I redone them completely) of the French roundels

Correction of the small access hatches to the wheels, so that they have more "depth" than the original ones

1ST PLANE - Generic skin for use with any numbering offered in the game

On the screenshot, I use the number 04 taken from the game with red color but black is also usable.

2ND PLANE - CODE N° 11 - serial 1168

Breguet XIV B2 n ° 1168 coded "11" of the crew composed of Sgt Georges Burlaton (pilot) and Slt Léopold Debrus (observer) of the BR 66 squadron - On December 28, 1917, these airmen were forced to land their aircraft , due to strong gusts of wind and snow, in an area held by the Germans - The two men were taken prisoner.

3RD PLANE - CODE N°2 -  serial 1155

Code n ° 1155 "2" of the crew composed of Sgt Robert Ragaz (pilot) and his gunner, Maréchal des logis Fernand Dufrêne - The two men will be killed during a bombardment on Bucy-lès-Pierrepont, near the camp de Sissonne (Aisne), February 2, 1918 - Their opponent was probably Ltn Konrad Bieler of Jasta 14 (his 4th victory).

BR means "breguet" not "bombardements et reconnaissance "

See here https://www.asoublies1418.fr/index.php/escadrilles/51-75-b/escadrille-c-66-sop-66-br-66

But the skins are really nice

Congratulations

Salut, I have found one in the SHAA book, and there are a couple more on Albin Denis website, but there from 1919, when they were in Poland.

Hello actionjoe,

Yes indeed, seems that 3 tones camouflage was used from end 1918 - early 1919 when they were sent to Poland.

I am still checking.
