=BES=Senor_Jefe Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 I've seen this before, but never seen an answer that has worked. 1. I'm not in autopilot and I have all assists turned off. 2. I have all axis/button assignments correct. I can verify this by flying ANY other plane (ex. Yak, Lagg, 110, stuka, 190) with trim working perfectly. 3. I haven't changed assignments in years, but all the sudden the 109 doesn't trim. 4. I know there's no rudder trim, that's what I'm not referring to.

Good you noticed that there is no rudder trim (point 4) - BUT you didn't notice that the 109 also does not have any trim in the common way. Instead, the 109 has a stab trim, which is completely different, like the 190. So, check what button/axis you assigned to your stab trim and also make sure you did both - assign buttons AND axis. Here is an example:
=BES=Senor_Jefe Posted December 23, 2021 Author Posted December 23, 2021 That's why I mentioned that trim works in every other plane, including the 190. And it worked for the 109 until a month ago after an update. I checked no conflicting double assignments, and even tried doing it using joytokey and keyboard assignments. Nothing doing.
69th_chuter Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 I never understood the game's distinction between trim tabs and trimmable stabilizers. Yes, they are two different ways an engineer can aerodynamically trim an aircraft but the end result is exactly the same, a trimmed aircraft. It would literally be as if the game gave you two separate throttle controls, one for pressure carburators and the other for direct injection. They accomplish the same thing in different ways but why would the game make the distinction in the controls, they're both "the throttle" just as they're both "the trim". 1 1
