How to get out of these graphics settings?

I was trying to set up my grapic settings for VR it didn't work and after Il-2 restarted my menu became tiny.
the attachment is what i see unscaled(!), so its unreadable.

i tried clicking on the top item on the right which should be the Full screen option but when i click it, i can see the bounding box highlights... however it doesn't tick it
so if i restart, all settings are the same...
 

This is emberrasing i obviously made a mistake, any suggestion on how to get back to a readable menu

The easiest way is to delete the file "startup.cfg" located in your game's data folder. After deleting this file and restarting the

game, the file will be newly recreated by the game. Of course, you will have to redo some settings, but your key bindings and

input devices will remain the same, they are stored in another place.
