jollyjack Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) Posted it on Haluters. Thanks Rap for the template and help. I have some issues with the lettering on the radiator grill and could not find the number plate. I'll try to fix things later .. Now if some one knows a trick to change them nastie uniforms into American or so. In a summer outfit they look even weirder ... Edited December 19, 2021 by jollyjack 2 1 1
SidtheGit Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Hi jollyjack I too am working on a fictional hack skin for the Sdkfz10 that shows it as an Allied AAA half track. Potentially, it will be used in squad coop missions. I am having trouble locating the gun and gun deck in the Sd template. Having seen your skin is it that these areas aren't accessible and they are hardcoded as sand colour? Cheerzen Sid 2 2
jollyjack Posted January 12, 2022 Author Posted January 12, 2022 (edited) this truck contains 2 skins, the gun is a separate 2k skin, flak38#1_Public.psd Edited January 12, 2022 by jollyjack 1
jollyjack Posted January 13, 2022 Author Posted January 13, 2022 (edited) The two skins should be in the same place together, (skins, folder, with (name)#1.dds (truck) and (name)#1#1.dds (gun); #1 or #1#1 tells the game where to find and load them. Haluter's knows about this when uploading. PS how did you get the star on the front grille? I tried to find the right place on the template for some numbers. I was told impossible as the grill had moveable blades .. Where on the template did you find it ... here?: Also i could not find the numberplates on the template .. SidtheGit Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Thanks for the info jollyjack. Yes, the star is placed where you have indicated. As you can see from the attached piccie, I needed to distort it in order for it to take into account the wider moveable blade aspect on the template and look proportional. I can't find the number plates either. As you said, the other psd is for the gun shields however I can't find the actual gun and mounting anywhere on either of the psds - I made a skin from the coloured guides included in the templates and the gun and mount remained the sandy colour despite the rest looking like a rainbow! In game, even selecting the default winter skin doesn't change their colour.
jollyjack Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 Ask Rap? He included the desert colors in the template. 1
SidtheGit Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Getting there.....it's all green now, got rid of number plates and German technical plates too. Allows tactical codes.

SidtheGit Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) I was directed to a programme that unpacks the .gtp files in the games 'data' folder - this is where a lot of hidden vehicle texture .dds files are kept. I located the ones for the half track and isolated the ones for the gun, mounting, number plates and other bits. I was able to alter these files and, at the moment by means of a JSGME enabled mod I am able to show the areas I couldn't see before as painted green to match the rest. So, the chassis and bodywork is a skin and the gun, mounting and plates are visible via a mod. At the moment I can pack it all in a JSGME mod and get the vehicle all green so it isn't just a skin that does it. Edited January 17, 2022 by SidtheGit 1
jollyjack Posted January 10, 2024 Author Posted January 10, 2024 Uniforms change to USA or British, has any one figured it out yet?
Off_Winters Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 (edited) 30 minutes ago, jollyjack said: Uniforms change to USA or British, has any one figured it out yet? Hi JollyJack, you need to unpack the character.gtp and edit the textures in the "flakmanger" folder data\graphics\characters\flakmanger\textures theres a summer and winter file, and theres also the same textures in a smaller resolution that are preceded with ! (shown with an S above them in picture below) in the name. just resize the main file when you have completed it. below is an example of what I did for the Africa uniforms. you msy be able to edit the helmet with an alpha channel of solid black to change the shape by removing some of the lip at the front sides to make it look a bit less German. regards Rob. jollyjack Posted January 10, 2024 Author Posted January 10, 2024 (edited) some experimenting, also with imports of your summer US adapted file: I wonder if you can make a new folder in the characters mapping called flakmanusa instead of flakmanger so US flakmen etc are automatically loaded with an USA set country & skin ...
