Yeah, isn’t it about time for another “monthly” dev diary or even another one of those hilarious “announcement about an announcement” that Pattle likes to make?

 

Or frankly just.....anything?

Out of all the sims I'm playing, MSFS, DCS, IL2 BoX, Flying Circus and Cliffs of Dover. This is the game update I am most excited about. I check in almost daily to see if there's any news. Here's hoping we get some info before 2022. 

 

I know the dev team is really small and with a limited budget, so I know we have to be patient. It's just difficult since this is my favourite sim of all time.

Good luck to all the devs and happy holidays all the same, don't burn yourselves out. Cheers.

Question: all updates need to be "approved" by 777 prior to show it to the community?

Why not doing a dev blog like the one made on GB every 10 days or so? For clod if 10 days are too few it could be every 15-20 days.

It seems unlikely that 1CGS would object to regular and predictable descriptions of development progress. Progress announcements help drive forum activity. If little info is available through the forum there is little reason to visit regularly.

It's just a game!  What's the matter if next update comes in one week, two months or one year?
There are a lot more things in life that deserves our impatience much more.

It looks like you are waiting for the announcement of the return of the Messiah.

Anyway I wish you the best for next year.

Carry this line of thought a bit further and it is no problem if the once "Re-Launch", now "Visual Update Package", never arrives. Just enjoy Blitz/DW-T "as is". You could also revisit the forum in six months and see if any progress has been reported. Remember though that passage of six months calendar time does not necessarily equal six months development time. There is no full time staffing. Required coding is done when and as free time of relevant staff can be made available.

Man, I didn't realize I was in the Blitz forum there for a second. I wrote this whole long diatribe defending the BoX staff before re-reading the quoted text.
