scranscranny123 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I have the quest 2 / steamvr and il2bos .I understand that using steamvr and the oculus home screen eats up your graphics power so I want to use opencomposite so then its just your headset and the game. So your FPS should be better . All well and good But my question is HOW do you use opencomposite. I downloaded OP and when I click on the desktop icon I just get a small blue box with 2 options steamvr or opencomposite I click on opencomposite then click on configure then a new small box appears with the steam icon and the il2 icon i click on the il2 icon but it just goes blue .So then I minimise OC and the start the game from the desktop icon all the time with my quest 2 powdered on .The game launches in 2D i log in with my email etc but it's still in 2D can anyone please tell me or show me in a video how to properly install opencomposite into il2 and how to get it up and running Ps sorry if I'm all over the place with this post but I don't really post a lot ?
TheSNAFU Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 (edited) I have the q2 and use open composite. I think you install open composite as system wide install. Open the open composite and chose open composite, not steam. Start q2 without connecting it to link (assuming your using the link cable). Once q2 is started, open the oculus app, then plug in the link cable. Put the headset on and enable link. Once the q2 is connected via link you can add IL2 to the oculus library and start the game from there or just start it from the desktop. Be sure Enable vr is checked in the graphics settings in game. That should do it. You can also check out this thread which will probably help you. Edited December 18, 2021 by TheSNAFU
