TheBlackPenguin Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 This thing looks super detailed! http://www.airfix.com/news/airfix-hawker-typhoon-mkib/ I am sure it will be quite expensive, but I also hope to see one again someday in a sim.
LLv34_Flanker Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 S! Would be interesting to build that one. Could even get yellowgreen paint for the spars and such :D Nice find!
sallee Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Yes, I'd be watching progress on this. Looks fantastic. Still haven't started my 1/24 Ju 87 which was my 50th birthday present!
=LD=Hethwill Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Look gorgeous and a long term project That open engine just asks for two mechanics figures around it for the end display.
Rjel Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 The Typhoon always looks like such a brute of an airplane, even more so than a P-47 to me. That model looks very impressive.
Trident_109 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 It's that chin cowl. It just screams, "Hit me! I can take it and still kick your ass." 2
TheBlackPenguin Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Its out now! Ordered one (with the newly tooled 1:48 Spit VB) just awhile ago, not sure when I will get to build it as it could easily take over a year to put together. Anyway, Airfix have released some nice history of the Typhoon aas well as more details concerning the kit http://www.airfix.com/hawker-typhoon 1
