Mysticpuma Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 A short video of captured highlights from a mission over London - 1941 in Il2: Cliffs of Dover. An armada of 109's and Do-17's are inbound, and a small flight of Spitfire's scramble to intercept them in the morning sunlight. Clear skies give great visibility and the contrails fill the sky as the aerial battle ensues. 12
354thFG_Drewm3i-VR Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Lighting, color palette, and effects are orders of magnitude better than BoX. So is the DM. The terrain is looking mighty dated though (like BoX when compared to DCS). Hopefully the VR update and the new graphics enhancements will bring CLoD back into the fold for the multiplayer community since the game engine is so good. 1 3

We will be updating the terrain with a new version of Speedtree as well as improved 4k textures, etc. 4 1

I've now watched several hours of video, and i think the terrain etc looks quite good. But the guns and cannon sounds really bring i down, being used to the actual roaring sounds if guns and cannon from DCS, in Clod, they seem low and weak. Sounds really help with immersion especially in VR. So I hope weapons sound are also in for an upgrade sometime in the future once VR and the 4k stuff is in place and working.
