Battle of Normandy

I am willing to bet that this question has been answered many times...but I need to ask...The "Battle of Normandy" is listed as an add-on that I purchased... it shows up in the upper corner of my game when it starts. However...there doesn't seem to be a specific set of missions or a scripted mission that is under the heading of "The Battle of Normandy". 

Please let me know where these skirmishes would appear in the selection menus.

When you pre-order these modules parts are released when they are ready over the development cycle, usually the map is last so at the moment there are some objects and a few of the aircraft available that can be used on other maps but it will be next year before it is completely finished.

Yes, it is a pre-order. The map and the campaign should be released sometime next year (along with the twin-engined aircraft). However, you'll have the single engined fighters and ground objects now.  The quick mission builder and multiplayer should work for you as well.

 

If you really want a campaign to fly them in you can pick up Battle of Bodenplatte next time it goes on sale - as most of the battle of Normandy aircraft are being added to it.

The reasons to buy Normandy now are:

1. Support the development team

2. Fly the planes in Quick Missions. 

3. Fly the planes online. 

4. You own Bodenplatte and you are good with flying the planes on the Bodenplatte map.

 

If you are buying Normandy to fly the planes on the Normandy map then you will have to wait for the release.

5. Get 2 collector planes for cheap if you don't want to wait until they're on sale after the release (can take a year or so before there's any significant discount)
