You can, by account linking, ask Olya.

I'd say wait for the next sale if you can, and buy vol1 again direct, you are far better off not using steam for various reasons. I did, never regretted it ...

Works like a charm, done it with IL-2 with FC I plus a lot of Campaigns and extra planes as Steam buys, later brought FC II from the dev site. Link the accounts and it will work together (and still update over Steam).

I have a mix of steam and non steam content on my account, including a mix of  collector planes.

Just need to make sure your steam account (with il-2 GB stalingrad) is linked to the same login used when making web site purchases, then it will become available when played via steam.

IL-2 GB early access content is not availaible from steam store.

Wow the linking is amazing.  Just bought Kuban and some collector planes. Launched my steam BOS and they were all there.  No download needed.  I love it when technology works the first time!

I'm probably 80% ignorant about Steam, but I recently got a lot of help from the Forum in getting a new computer (and Steam played a part in getting it working) so I'll try to pay that forward here.

HISTORY: I bought FC1 from the Devs when it first came out; was flying 2D TIR with a monitor.

When I went into VR and upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1050ti (barely adequate for the CV1), I'd hear the FC audio but only see the Oculus home page in my headset.

Friends told me I needed Steam to drive it; so I bought that and it worked fine except a lot of times when I'd boot up, the Oculus page would still dominate graphics and it would take some doing to get into FC.  Bought FC2; same symptoms.  It's like there was a conflict there, maybe?

Then, a few months ago, my 2004 Cybertron crashed and I eventually bought an R7 5800X / 3080ti Corsair; arrived with some damage and I had to reinstall the MOBO and GPU, but got it working two days ago.

When I opened Oculus, I used my old Oculus account.  The Rift worked fine; same problems as before though: good audio but video was stuck in the Oculus store or my "living room" page.

Friends reminded me about Steam.  I opened my Steam account and now the sim works fine.

I haven't "linked" my Oculus and Steam accounts; wouldn't know how.  They both exist on my new computer but I ignore Oculus and use Steam; so far that seems to work.

Hope this helps.  Best of luck with your quest.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!  ?

Lots of things are a reason to use Steam, but in IL2's now nuclear age i am glad i bought IL2 (again after a false Steam start) direct from 1C.

Wish Cliffs was Steamless too. albeit mainly that i DON'T want to be reminded of all the time 'played', or rather wasted, playing games LoL.

Most of that time in as actually wasted on trying to figure out how some (other steam stuff) software works ....
