CraigNT55 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Greetings All, Has anyone else experienced some issues with VR in the aircrafts' cockpits being "sticky" since Update 4.701? What I'm talking about is that now while in VR the cockpit moves with your head movements. So when you move your head towards the instrument panel, the panel stays the same distance away. Same with side to side. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Thanks for any assistance in getting this resolved. Kind regards, - Craig
dburne Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Sounds like a tracking issue, check your lighting, etc.
CraigNT55 Posted December 13, 2021 Author Posted December 13, 2021 Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is with Virtual Reality Goggles that I'm referring to as VR. Thanks!
Ribbon Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Had that issue many times post update, just reset your VR room boundaries in VR app!
40plus Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 (edited) Which VR headset are you using? I have found this happen every once in a while after I switched from Vive to WMR (Reverb G2). The solution is to re calibrate the tracking through WMR interface before starting the sim. Edited December 13, 2021 by 40plus
=420=Syphen Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Sounds like a WMR headset that has lost its boundaries and tracking.
CraigNT55 Posted December 17, 2021 Author Posted December 17, 2021 I'm using the Oculus Quest 2 and I've never had to establish a "boundary" before using the headset in IL2. Steam VR is required to run the sim but it doesn't have a reset function that I can see. Hopefully the latest 4.701b update will cure the problem as I never had an issue before the 4.701 version. Thanks for the replies!
=420=Syphen Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 It's likely something else, the Quest 2 and Reverb G2 are both working perfectly fine in 4.701b here.
CraigNT55 Posted December 18, 2021 Author Posted December 18, 2021 You are correct Syphen! The 4.701b patch cured the problem! ?
