CTD or whatever you call the VR screen freeze equivalent…???

Any time mid-flightI think I have a unique problem while using my ReverbG2 and I don’t believe its caused by any update.( I use Mods and not sure if it is this might be part of it.)Let me describe what is going on.After I finish any mission ,single or career or scripted campaign and I am killed ( sadly) but want to restart I hit that option & the VR screen freezes…freezes solid so to speak.Even using Alt ,Delete,Start, & delet bing Il-s exe optionwill not get rid of frozen screen in the VR goggles ( I do get back to Steam on my monitor, but that doesn’t help me restart the sim. I have to reboot the PC to do that.

  Oddly this doesn’t happen when I have a “successful” mission, landing back at my airfield or simply exit the flight at mid flight-“What the…”

Hi Blitzen,

This freeze does read as a curly one. There are a few things I can only suggest which may, or may not help?

 

Have you tried Alt + Tab, (to return to the desk top), then clicking back on the game to see if the freeze remains? Or Alt + Tab, (to return to the desk top) then Ctrl + Alt Delete, to terminate to running program that's freezing? 

 

Maybe try using the process of elimination? For E.G: Check to see if: Windows OS screen resolution matches VR, game resolution, or, without Mods etc..   ??

 

Some PC related freezes can relate to Ram, but this is noticed more when running other programs also. ?

 

Plucking at straws really, there are many variables to consider..

Blitzen, are you trying Cod in VR? or are you talking about BoX?

BoX…VR isn’t available in CloD DWT yet.

I’ve never done this before in all the years I’ve played GB BoX -what’s the best way to try this out?
