New player - Absolutely loving it!

Nice to meet you all! I'm Adam, from UK and 29 years old. 

Have been playing on and off Flight sims from about 14 - 15 years old, nothing too serious though.
In 2019 I bought the Hotas Warthog but eventually sold it (Was playing flight sim). 

I've played Arma 3 specifically in jets for as long as I could remember just drowning myself into doing bombing runs etc.

I tried DCS for a few days last week, started with the F18 and then tried the A-10 but felt that with my current work schedule I just don't have enough time to play.
I've been looking at IL-2 for a while now, specifically when I had a VR headset I played about 600 hours in a game called VTOL VR if anyone knows it. Absolutely loved it.

Took the plunge the other day and bought Battle of Bodenplatte, then took assists off after a few hours and got Kuban and last night I got Normandy end of December I'll probably buy all the other ones too.

I tell you what this game really really hits it for me. I spent 4 hours just now practicing bombing runs and also air to air combat, and then the last hour just now practicing landing in different conditions/runways. I finally after about 6 attempts with no assists on have hit a decent landing (Who needs wings, wings are overrated). 

Just thought I'd say hello, and am looking forward to thoroughly enjoying many many hours here!
