I.E. when I select Moscow it shows an error and crashes. It also crashes when I add a block to the default Lapino winter map, then zoom in to look at it??? Also it crashes when I try to open missions that I've previously made.

I was using Mission Editor fine 2 days ago, but since the patch its basically non functional ???

Have you re-saved your missions since the update?

Oh I also tried to use the resaver, it also seems to crash on opening, ie. Something flashes up after I double click on the resaver exe file, but nothing else happens.....

See this post for the procedure to resave missions using the mission editor.

I first delete all the msbin files in my various folders and then do a global resave and all is fine.

If I do not delete the msbin files then the resave mission will take place but it does not replace the old msbin files and I do not know why.

To my understanding this has not to do with editor mission resave issues. I would consider to make a clean install from scratch.

It looks like he most likely has a video card issue or possibly a mod installed that is interfering with the mission editor. Looking at this thread, it's possible his video card is overclocked, and is causing the issue:

Regardless, I recommend resetting the mission editor back to default.

go here:

C:\..\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\bin\editor\

Click on:

ResetEditorSettings.cmd

This will reset the editor back to factory defaults.

If you're still having issues, please post the mission in question in this thread. (We will need all of your files for that mission)
