After testing the T1600M FCS ordered from Switzerland, it seems to work except for one quite obnoxious problem. The left button placed on the stick works but very poorly because it doesn't click as well as the right one, it's too limp... Are these kind of problems frequent in this product? Do you think it makes sense to spend 8 Euros to send back the package and get another part shipped? Or it could also be much worse? Thank you.

I've had two, and they've both been perfect...

Salutations,

The one I have works well and I've had no problems with it. :salute:

Do you think it's a good idea returning the stick for 8 Euro's (which is the price for send it back) and getting a new box or investing more in getting a VKB Gladiator NXT so that "i'm sure" it will not have problems at this price? What you think?

I think it's worth sending it back, as well as bugging their customer service to pay for it themselves. I have a gladiator and I've been very happy, but I've never had the T1600M so cannot make a true comparison. Most people say that if you are using the twist action for your rudder, then the gladiator is the way to go.

Because I would like to buy the VKB Gladiator, but not only that it’s a very high price for this purpose but also here in Switzerland for things that comes from foreign countries and costs more than 40EUR, you have to pay 30EUR of taxes!!! Can you believe that!? Because I haven’t seen the VKB in any Swiss store, so… While the T600M is available here. Maybe I’ll try to look more in detail if it’s really possible that no one sells a VKB in Switzerland… Also the VKB is from America, so where to buy if you are from Europe? Thank you.

If the unit was bought new you must send it back, with a note explaining the exact problem.  Check your country's legislation regarding vendors' obligations regarding the cost of return postage.

They sent me a document to print with i'll go to post office and send it back for free. Of course still remains the danger and dilemma if they will agree about the fact the button is not working properly...

I just thought I'd compare the left and right buttons on my T16000, and the right button does have a definite click/collapse action, whereas the left one does not.  That could be attributable to the fact that the left button has endured far more applications during its eight years of use, but I cant be certain.  It will be interesting to see how your replacement feels.
