We're a Bf 109 fighter squadron, and we frequently run into the following problem: On escort missions (we're tasked to meet up with Bombers to escort them), we fly to the bombers, but they continue to circle and don't start their mission. 1) What could keep them from triggering? We take great pains with regard to the waypoints and altitude, we have circled the Bombers for 15 minutes, tried to fly on, but to no avail. 2) Possible solution (as promised): Could you generate a "backup trigger" that reacts to a fired flare from one of the player-planes in teh vincinity of the Bombers? ref. for the flare trigger https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/75736-complex-trigger-to-detect-player-firing-flare-is-it-working/ Thanks for the hard work, we immensely enjoy it! Ror PS: I think whishing for a DCS-like radio trigger being implemented in IL-2 is mandatory at this point 1

If you flip on navigation icons (the big yellow ones that float in the air) you'll notice that the game hasn't registered passing one of them. For me it was usually the first takeoff waypoint. My solution; In escort missions have the flight lead turn on autopilot, the ai is sure to hit each waypoint. This works fine as long as the AI doesn't dive after the nearest bridge! My guess is that the waypoint trigger area could just be made larger, but something tells me that if it were that simple Pat would have fixed it! 1
