Frinik22 Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 (edited) Thanks to the latest update which consists mostly of cosmetic changes to the clouds all the missions made by Tigre88 and others no longer work. They won't load nor launch. In the update highlights they mention that third party missions will no longer work unless they are saved through the mission saver or the file editor. I have tried both but to no avail. Frankly couldn't the devs. figure out a way not to nullify the work of fans of their game who created so much and those who wanted to enjoy their work rather than the few original missions in the vanilla version of the game? Does anybody have any idea on how to revalidate these missions using the mission saver? I have clicked on the mission saver .bat file. A black screen window pops up. It's like a Microsoft windows command prompt. Except that whenever I try typing anything it shuts off. When I click on the mission saver.exe nothing happens it won't start. JimTM Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 (edited) What happened when you tried the resave through the mission editor? See this post for the procedure to resave missions using the mission editor. Edited December 8, 2021 by JimTM 3
Frinik22 Posted December 9, 2021 Author Posted December 9, 2021 I couldn't find how to do it like importing missions and saving them. Thanks for the link.I will check it out!?
Na-zdorovie Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 go to mission editor, tools, then re save in folder, aim at your campaign, or mission folder then just wait, if you have a lot like me it can take 45 mins or so, but then they will all work np
ShampooX Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Here's the Step by step: -Open File Location -bin -editor -STEeditor -tools -Resave all Missions in Folder -Local Disc (C) -Program Files X86 -1C Game Studios -IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles -data Then assign Missions or Campaign based on how they were originally filed very easy. 2 1
Frinik22 Posted December 13, 2021 Author Posted December 13, 2021 Yes thanks somebody posted the instruction from back in April. Still having to do that ain't fun. I tried saving the entire folder but it did nto work. Had to redo it by missions or group of missions.
MajorMagee Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 (edited) A most important step with the current 4.701b update. Quote Delete the binary file (msbin), load the mission in the mission editor, and save it again. Edited December 18, 2021 by MajorMagee
