JV44HeinzBar Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 S!, I've made several .dds files recently. I've noticed that my saved .dds files differ from some of the .dds files I've downloaded. My files are opaque compared to the files I've download when viewing them in Windows Explorer. Is there a setting that I need to do to make my .dds files more visible? It makes it easier to choose the correct skin I without having to open it up in PS. Please see the screenshot below. My file is on the left and opaque, while the downloaded skin is on the downloaded file and clearly visible. TIA, HB
ShampooX Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 So far all of my downloads have been of the opaque type. It doesn't seem to make a difference in game.
Na-zdorovie Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 its just showing the Alpha, you should still see a thumbnail of your own ones without opening in ps, or you could just use a quick file viewer if you didnt want to use PS
JV44HeinzBar Posted December 7, 2021 Author Posted December 7, 2021 Hey Naz, I don't know why I can't see them as a thumbnail from the skins I've made nor some of the skins I've downloaded. I can see you skins just fine, though. HB
Maillon21 Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Hi HB, I modified the alpha channel of the panther skin to obtain a matte effect. That's why the thumbnail is visible. You can create a new alpha layer to adjust glossy effect on the skin, or some parts of the skin.

I have the alpha box checked in PS when it comes to saving a .dds. I'll experiment by unchecking that box to see what happens. I'll get back to you. HB
Na-zdorovie Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 no leave that checked, if you didnt mess with that layer or put in a diff place then it will show, its fine either way mate
