Ten Days of Autumn Campaign Playthrough

I'm streaming my playthrough of Ten Days of Autumn.  Sunday mornings at 0830 Central US time.

I flew the first two missions today.  You can watch it live on Twitch, or it will be archived on my YouTube channel.

Mission #1
Through The Rain

Scramble to defend the airbase!

Success, but Shot Down and lost my plane.

Kills: 2 light fighters

#4 Days Without End

Provide air cover and take out ground targets

Success

Kills: 1 light fighter + 2 cannons and 3 AAA guns

Total Career Kill Tally: 5 ACE!

#5 A Critical Role

Fly a weather scouting mission under a low ceiling to see if the Russians are out and about.

success!

Kills: 1 Heavy (On ground preparing to take off)

Total Kill Tally: 6

Stats of this mission:

#6 Meeting Committee

Fly a patrol to escort returning bombers

success!

Kills: 0 (no engagement with enemy)

Total Kill Tally: 6

(I flew this mission (mission 6) again, and let the autopilot mostly fly it. Turns out when you get to the 'start your patrol' waypoint, you should orbit that area for several minutes. Then, 4 He-111 come along, chased by a couple flights of MiG-3s! So this time I was able to engage the MiGs, down 2 of them, and save 2 of the 4 bombers. I noticed on a re-watch of this stream, that I lost all 4 bombers, since I simply flew on instead of hanging out for a while. That was them calling out for help while I was commenting that 'I wonder if I was supposed to be there...?' Oops.)

Mission #8: The Long Hand
Ground attack against Artillery

Kills: 1 ground kill, 0 Air to Air

(Had a pretty interesting landing in this one.  I took some AA hits, lost my oil pump, and had the windscreen covered in oil!  I made a safe landing, but it was pretty stressful!)

This was actually a really good campaign...I'm may go back an do another play through with the new clouds.

The new clouds are very cool!  Massive and man, you get into a dogfight where various planes are ducking in and out of the clouds...pretty amazing!

I am re-flying this one in VR. Its amazing with the new clouds and something I didn't notice before....the Stalingrad map is one of the best in the entire series.

Mission #9 A Change of Plans

Go on a recon flight, but we get attacked on takeoff!

No seriously, go fly that recon patrol.

Kills: 0 (no aircraft seen. I shot at a lot of trucks and a train.)

Mission #11 Breakthrough to the North

Fly a CAS mission, but be ready for anything.

Two attempts on this one. #1 ended in me getting shot down and having to bail out. #2 was successful, although I got shot.

Kills: 1 heavy (pe-2)

Total Career Kills: 12 air, 6 ground

Mission 13 of Ten Days of Autumn. This one took 3 attempts. I left in all three this time cause my deaths in the first two are pretty fun to watch. I put in timestamp book marks in the description and the first comment so you can skip to the start of each attempt.

Oh, and thanks to my viewer that was chatting with me! Wearing the VR Headset, I didn't see you till I was done, sorry! But my Cockatiel say Hello! to your parrot!

 

Mission 14 Bad News.  This one took a couple attempts, I kept getting Target Fixation and running into these Flying Tanks!

Mission 15 Towards the Sunset

In this mission, we are pulling out of Kalinin and moving back west.  I am tasked with taking a worn out Messer with possibly malfunctioning guns and escorting a couple JU-52s to a new base for repairs.  Very pretty Sunset flight!

I end this campaign with 18 air kills, 6 ground.  Add that to my 42 and 1 tally for Fortress on the Volga, which is the same pilot and squadron in the story, and that brings me up to an even 60 air kills, 7 ground kills!  I know the author was planning more campaigns following this pilot, but I don't know if that is going to happen or not.
