Mods for IL2 FC 1 and 2

Being a total noob to FC1 and 2 can someone suggest the best place to obtain Mods...greatly appreciated

@NavyGuythe community isn't really mod heavy other than custom paints downloaded via Haluters Skin Downloader (HSD).  I think there is a link to it in the FAQ but if not here is the link below.  Most multiplayer servers (including the FC Flugpark server) don't normally allow mods due to the opportunity to create disparate player experiences/unfair play situations.

One "mod" that might be useful is the Pilots Notes. You don't even need to enable mods, you just replace the cockpit photograph with useful data instead of a pretty lady so you're more likely to get back to see said pretty lady in person. They were made back in RoF and they translate over pretty well. There are notes about max RPM, speeds, relative capability for roll, turn, and BnZ, and spin recovery. Very useful for a new pilot, and I think the FC2 planes are also being added. I don't use the max dive speed or best cornering speed much, but the max RPM and spin recovery have been life savers for me time and time again. I'd like to remake them with the data I use most frequently a bit more visible and add data for optimum mixture, but that will have to wait a few months I think.
