=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 I got a Winwing Orion, and I am running into some issues. I have the throttle set to 4x32 button mode, and I had set the 3 position switches to not use a center position, but the game is refusing to execute any of the commands I give it from the panel under the throttle grip itself. Any axis works fine, and the encoders work when set as axis binds, but whenever I attempt to use any buttons I bind, they don't work. The issue I have is that they are visible to the game. They are binding in the settings menu, but then when actually flying the controls do not work. If anyone has a fix for this it'd be a great help.
FlyingH Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 Are you using combined commands ie shift, ctrl or alt + letters or numbers? If so you need to put in a delay between the commands. I´m not at all familiar with winwing orion but does it have a supportin program like target for trustmaster warthog the you need to program delays there and then set it up in the games settings.
=WH=PangolinWranglin Posted December 1, 2021 Author Posted December 1, 2021 (edited) Yes I am using WinWing's SimApp software and no I'm not using any modifiers. Just the buttons on the panel. I feel like I've tried everything at this point so I might reach out to WinWing support. IL-2 is the only game I'm having issues with though so I'm not sure what the support team could offer. DCS and Elite both seem to work fine. Edited December 1, 2021 by =WH=PangolinWranglin
ericandi Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 (edited) I have this same issue with Virpil CM3 throttle. All of the HOTAS buttons and hats on the throttles work fine in game, but none of the buttons and switches on the throttle base work as I have them mapped in IL-2 control settings. In the control settings, the buttons and switches are being recognized because that’s the only way to bind them, but once I’m in the plane and activate the switches and buttons on the throttle base, nothing happens and I have to use the keyboard binds instead. FYI, they work fine in DCS. Has anyone had this issue and found a fix? Edited December 7, 2021 by ericandi
pzgrenadier Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Hope this might help, when I was setting up buttons in IL2 for any momentary toggles on either my super taurus or take-off/combat panel, I realize that if I want the correct button to be triggered, I need to hold the switch to the correct location before assignment and then let go during the assignment. Then the buttons will be correctly triggered in the game. Another thing is, seems like for non-momentary switches, it only issues the command once, so it would not work for those functions needs to be held down. btw, I didn't setup through SimAppPro, just directly binding the buttons from the game.
