Squirtle Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 My friends and I have been playing a campaign starting in 1941 Moscow as jg51 and zg26, and it so far has been a great time! Thanks to those who make this great generator possible. My question is this - while i understand that much of what happens in the campaign is scripted, do players have any REAL effect on the war? I.E if my ground attack squadron is doing back to back tank buster missions, does that get factored into the frontline movement? Do train buster missions somehow affect the Russians ability to produce an offensive or defensive reaction to the German ground? maybe trains getting blown up affects the enemy resupply rate. I don't know? in short, other than killing enemy airplanes, does anything the player does actually matter in regard to the course of the current months-long battle?? Thanks! Also, feauture request - the ability to delete personas. I managed to dig in and find the file where my squadron was and delete some, but with my fairly large group, we actually lost enough pilots that we ran out of space on the persona screen to create more pilots, and there is no scroll bar.
PatrickAWlson Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 The only thing that has any impact is shooting down planes. Enemy squadrons may be depleted of men or machines and no longer able to fly for a short time. It is very a very temporary effect, as resupply is pretty quick. You do not alter the state of the ground war. To remove a persona: Campaign->Personnel->Administer Pilots Select the pilot to delete. Transfer Pilot and Retire Pilot options will appear on the right. press Retire Pilot.
Duce_de_Zoop Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 It's a big, big war, and you are a tiny, tiny player. Your actions ultimately mean nothing. Subsume yourself to the collective, die for your country. That is your purpose.
