Changing controls is a quick time event?

I just got Tank Crew and I'm trying to tweak the controls, but the game keeps setting them to null. I barely managed to hit the wanted key at the exact right time needed for it to register. Too early, it won't register. Too late, I get "null". What am I doing wrong?!

Never heard of this issue before, did you manage to fix it?

I have this problem.  You have some sort of device causing a conflict.   For me I launch the game in regular mode (not vr) and it works
