oFlyingDutchman Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 I just got my vr after years of using the joystick hat, then going for a trackir, and damn, theres not quite like using vr in terms of realizing how massive the aircraft are I knew the p47 was quite huge seeing pilots besides those machines as well the p-38 but it just hits diferent seeing it from inside it VR may have its ups and downs, but once again, its impressive being inside the aircraft and realizing how something so big can be so graceful in the air 1 1
Mtnbiker1998 Posted November 30, 2021 Posted November 30, 2021 The sense of scale really is one of my favorite parts of VR. its easy to hear "oh a bf-109s cockpit was small" or "a P-47 was roomy" but a whole other story to see it with your own eyes. Now get yourself setup in Elite Dangerous and look at some planets and stars from orbit 2

I never think about it because they're pretty rare today and the shape of them isn't obviously "big" the way a P-47 just looks big, but when you see these thing next to people you realize how absolutely titanic they are. 1
