Eisenfaustus Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Agree - a great movie, showing impressively how rotten a state the Third Reich was!
BOO Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Well that was a happy 2 hours! Brilliant film. Cant be accused of schmaltz thats fer sure. Thanks for the find!
MajorMagee Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 Harking back to my film class at the University, the cinematography at the end in particular was indeed masterful. Indifferently walking over the white bones piled on the dark earth, stopping to look up, with the light from above making his face glow like an angel, and then fading away into the shadows of the dark grey forest... Indeed powerful imagery! One would assume that the Indie makers of this movie were well versed in the work of Leni Riefenstahl, and purposely used similar film and storytelling techniques to put voice to their counter message. On a personal level, as good as the film was, I wish I'd never seen it, because at this point in my life I don't need anymore of these sort of images stuck in my head.
Vishnu Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 (edited) Fantastic movie!! A piece of history I never knew happened. Extremely well done. I especially enjoyed the scenes when the credits roll. A really unique way of presenting the credits. Edited May 13, 2022 by Vishnu
