TheIL-2Thunder Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) I have an i7-6700 CPU, AMD Radeon RX480 8GB VRAM GPU and 16GB RAM. The screen has a sort of continous micro-blinking that really makes you crazy... Any recommendation? Edited November 29, 2021 by TheIL-2Thunder
Jaws2002 Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) Are you sure you have DDR5? I don't even think there are motherboards that support that CPU together with DDR5. Edited November 27, 2021 by Jaws2002

For me the game runs bad and also it have a very annoying screen flickering... Any recommendation? Check if you are running the game on your AMD GPU and not on the CPU built in GPU. 1
TheIL-2Thunder Posted November 27, 2021 Author Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) The game wasn't present in the AMD control panel games list and so i tried to add it manually. It is the IL-2.exe file, right? Edited November 27, 2021 by TheIL-2Thunder
RossMarBow Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Yes Once you have it in the AMD panel you need to change it so it looks like this Optional choices are sharpness, custom color also change ansio to x16 but I'm not sure it actually does anything
TheIL-2Thunder Posted November 28, 2021 Author Posted November 28, 2021 (edited) I don't have any custom settings in the AMD control panel, i have all standard. My monitor is 5 years old Samsung Freesync curved monitor 1920x1080x72Hz, but for more compatibility i have set the system thru Windows settings to run at 60Hz, and monitor is set to Optimized Freesync (there are two options: Standard Freesync and Optimized Freesync). So if i have enabled VSYNC, do you think the FPS target still makes sense or it's better to set it OFF? Also in the launcher it says that using Full Screen mode it can increase performance of 15%, but the FPS counter while in the Menu, counts the FPS to 72 not 60... While if Full Screen mode is off, the FPS seems to be at 60, which is the current refresh rate i set the system to use (60Hz). I have VSYNC on because how otherwise you can prevent the screen tearing? At default settings the first time i launched a quick Tank Crew mission which has VSYNC off, the screen was having a terrible screen tearing. Edited November 29, 2021 by TheIL-2Thunder
TheIL-2Thunder Posted November 30, 2021 Author Posted November 30, 2021 (edited) My Samsung 27" Curved Freesync monitor has two Freesync options: one Standard and one Optimized, if i choose Optimized in AMD control panel says that Freesync range is between 48 and 60, but with standard it's only 58 to 60. I was using Optimized option and tried to put it Standard. Fingers crossed it seems removing the strange blinking. While playing multiplayer i'm getting 55.7 average FPS with the settings you can see in the attached file. P.S. The file was changed because of privacy reasons. startup.cfg.txt Edited November 30, 2021 by TheIL-2Thunder
=ILS=_Abu_27 Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 u need translate my words with google plz.
