MiloMorai Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Germany used up their goal allowance and will be hard pressed to score in the next game. 1
Leaf Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 That was utterly humiliating. I kinda feel sorry for the Brazilian team. 1
Bando Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I don't. 'bout time that Scolari gets a buttkick. The Brazilian team were not impressive throughout the tournament. I felt the Colombian team would have given the Germans much more of a fight. Glad to see the Brasil team go. Very good performance of a strong German team. 1
1./JG42Nephris Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Feels good so far. But still won nothin. I guess Brazil beat themself. The pressure they built up after Neymar got injured, next to the pressure by a host in his own country was probably too much, maybe even more after the 0:1 was scored, which was then added by a quick 0:2. That pressure, to disappoint the complete country already in the first 15 mins, was imho the neckbreaker and introduced the following scores. However a very well perfromance by the Nationalmanschaft. I guess it will be Germany vs Holland. 1
Blooddawn1942 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 That was an impressing lesson in Shock an Awe. I am totally curious, if our team will be able reproduce such an devastating strike the upcoming sunday. 1
6S.Manu Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I've never seen a national team playing so well: the players are strong, fast, disciplined and technically talented. You clearly see that there's no "I" in the German team. It's simply amazing.
FlatSpinMan Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Excellent. Spent a happy hour or so at work this morning browsing through all the reaction articles online. I feel for the Brazilian players though. It must be excruciating to fall apart so dramatically on the biggest stage there is. That they were talented and hard-working enough to earn their place there will be forgotten.
1PL-Banzai-1Esk Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) I must admit that I never laughed so much watching football match. Germans call it schadenfreude. For the second World Cup in a row I support German team , and being Polish I feel bit awkward about it . Congratulations on making football history again. I wish I was in a pub in Germany for that match. It must have been ecstatic ,especially first half an hour. Many beers were drunk I imagine. S. P.S. It was 7-1 , and if I was the goalkeeper I would still be annoyed by this on lost goal. Edited July 9, 2014 by Don_Kojote
Blooddawn1942 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 At least, with Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose, we have 2 of Your countrymates in our ranks.:-) So lets call it a shared success. ;-)
sturmkraehe Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Aren't those two not of Polish descent but German by birth? Yesterday, while celebrating on the streets I came across a chap with a Brazilian flag around his neck. Obviously he already had drowned some of his sadness with beer. He told us that he was half Portuguese half Brasilian. Despite the fact that his teams lost 11:1 to Germany he was still quite cheerful. Edited July 9, 2014 by sturmkraehe
Tektolnes Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Delighted to see the anti-football, negative Brazil team get the beating they deserved. Good riddance to them. Maybe now they'll rethink their ugly footballing philosophy and put out players who actually have some skill and can play football instead of fouling constantly and only trying to score from set pieces or the occasional counter attack. Not one of their midfielders had the ability to receive a pass from the back four and link up the play. So poor. I cheered every goal that went in against them last night.
sturmkraehe Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) One has to say though that during yesterday's match there was no foul festival as I and others had expected. Of course there had been a few (not excessively many) tactical fouls but these you find in every game now on all sides. Yet they were not as numerous and not as harsh as seen in previous matches. I think yesterday both sides played very fair by the measure of other past games of the competition. The referee was remarkably good. Edited July 9, 2014 by sturmkraehe
siipperi Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I felt the Colombian team would have given the Germans much more of Teamsports are all about matchups, doesn't mean anything if they can't beat team before another. But I have no interest in soccer.
Leaf Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Watching Argentina vs. Netherlands, I can see Germany winning this world cup quite easily. God this match is frothingly dull. Edited July 9, 2014 by LeafyPredicament
jeanba Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Deutchland 7 brazil 0 This is unacceptable trolling and moderator should ban you : Brazil scored 1 Edited July 10, 2014 by jeanba
MiloMorai Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Germany let Brazil score their goal so wouldn't be a shutout and an absolute total embarrassment, just a total embarrassment.
