LLv34_Flanker Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 S! Noticed that I get no sounds when being hit. Flew online and was apparently hit by AA, but only way to tell was the dead gunner, holes in wing, loss of aileron controls and sputtering engine. But I got no audible indication of being hit. Another one is that there is a delay between gun sounds and actual firing. The gun sounds come delayed after you have started shooting and stop a bit after You have stopped shooting. The shooting itself works as it should on trigger press/release. Third is that some of the sounds are not in line with the rest. Like opening of the canopy. I can hear it from a plane sitting some distance away from me even with my engines are roaring. Fourth happens at least online. After landing and shutting down engines and opening canopy I could hear the starter wheel spinning on wingie's plane even he had shut down as well.
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted November 22, 2021 Team Fusion Posted November 22, 2021 Hello Flanker Do you have ingame setting for sounds turned up to 100%? If you have it lower than 100%, you will miss some sounds. Adjust the sounds coming out of your speakers or headphones to your preference by using the Windows Mixer. If you are having delayed sounds from your guns firing, then there is an issue with your install. I would suggest verifying the install. The issue with out of cockpit sounds being audible is one we are still working on... but it should not be that noticeable.
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 S! Thanks Buzzsaw for Swift answer! I have a clean and un-modded installation of Blitz/Tobruk. I also empty the cache folder frequently. No surround settings on etc. As pure as it can be. Could say I keep everything as clean and simple as possible up to almost a paranoia ? Will check the sound settings. The mixer has game sound lowered, but will verify the in-game settings.
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 S! Both sliders to the right, music and voice unticked, sound level adjusted via Windows Mixer. No hit sounds. MG/FF and MG151 play a loop of at least 4-5 shots even you squeeze Off only one(indicator flashes once). Machine guns work ok.

There is something wrong with your install... there likely are some corrupted files somewhere. I would recommend you verify your installation through STEAM. You could also look at your audio driver and check to see if it is up to date.
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 29, 2021 Author Posted November 29, 2021 S! Drivers are latest WHQL, settings at default with no enhancements. And did verify files in Steam, no errors. What is the recommended bitrate for sounds, using the driver default 48KHz. Or is there any difference on that? The cannon sound issue is not only on my end, a few other players have noted the same. No matter how fast you let off one shot the game plays a burst of 4-5 rounds. Will do a fresh install tonight and see what happens. Windows firewall and virus scanner are configured properly. Otherwise there are no issues with the game at all, just the sounds and some already known bugs/features.
