Patricks Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 It's become clear (pun intended) that there is a LOT of tuning involved to get the best image quality/acceptable frame rate for a Q2 in IL-2. I have followed the well done video done by BH_Adabadoo_VR but from what i'm reading the Nvidia 3D settings can play a part in this also. My question is, where is an up to date listing of the current Nvidia Control Panel's 3D settings for IL2 applicable to VR and as I have two installations (one "Normal", one on Steam which is the one I normally run), what do I use for "Select Program to Customize:". One is "IL-2: Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad (IL-2.exe)", for Steam all I see is "Valve Steam (steam.exe)..?
dburne Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 I "think" you will want to manually add the IL-2 executable that is in your Steam Library folder to the VR library in Steam settings. 1

When I go to add it to Nvidia 3d settings via browse it pops back up with the one I have so I have to "assume" its good to go.. Are you saying there is a setting in Steam Settings to mess with? I don't have time at the moment but if you don't find I will check later on in the day. Edit: You should see in Steam settings where you can manually add to your Steam Library and include in the Steam VR Library. It will prompt you to browse and point to the IL-2 exe you want to add. Something like that anyway. Edited November 21, 2021 by dburne
