P-47D-22 & P-47D-28 different propellers

I hadn't paid close attention to this before but I have a couple of questions regarding the difference in propellers between the P-47D-22 and D-28.

"Beginning with production blocks P-47D-22-RE and D-23-RA, a larger (13-foot diameter) paddle-bladed propeller  (either a Hamilton Standard Hydromatic 24E50-65 or a Curtiss Electric C542S) was fitted to make full use of the additional power provided by Water Injection.  It added 400 feet per minute to the climb rate...."

Did the plant (Farmingdale or Evansville) which assembled the aircraft determine which propeller got installed on the aircraft just like the P-51D (Inglewood) and P-51K (Dallas) which had different size propellers?

Why are the propellers different between the P-47D-22 & P-47D-28 in IL-2 BoX?

Was there a difference in performance/climb between these the Hamiltion Standard and Curtiss Electric propellers?

Thanks.
