Well I wanted to come back after 10 years away from IL2...

But after leaving the PC on overnight to d/l the game it won't even start.

 

In my account I have Bodenplatte that I bought on a sale last year and thought I'd see how far the sim has come since the old days.  I also have CoD on Steam but thought I'd go with Bodenplatte for now.  Also, I have a Oculus Q2 headset that seems related to my issue.

 

Anyways, after installing the game I go into the launcher, check the settings (I've tried all combinations of Full Screen/VR enabled, as well as have the screen resolution set to my native 2k rez) then "PLAY" but what comes up is an error window labeled OpenComposite that says "Failed to create libOVR session : -1007" it also opens up Oculus Home.

 

Even if I disable "Enable VR" it brings up the same error.  I've also tried starting the launcher in "Run as Admin". No dice.

 

I've had no luck searching for a solution despite seeing some posts where people get a similar error.

 

Any ideas?

Is your game in C//program files folder? Move it elsewhere and use the "confirm files" function in steam. Try starting from IL2.exe in /bin7game folder.
