LVA_Picard Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Is it me ore does supersampling makes the surrouding more foggy ? The cockpit looks sharper but i cant say the same fore the surrounding , it looks like my eyes cant focus in the distance anymore . This is in VR (Reverb G2) Any tips on this subject ? Thanks in advance Robin
BMA_West Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 No vr user myself but guess this might help: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/75357-new-to-the-reverb-g2-configuration-advice/ & ultimately HW/SW/controler subforum: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/109-virtual-reality-and-vr-controllers/ ?
Mtnbiker1998 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Thats pretty much how Anti-Aliasing works. it adds blur to reduce jagged edges from pixels. Supersampling is rendering the game at a higher resolution, then downsampling to your headsets native res. This is a form of Anti-Aliasing. Farther things are smaller and less pixels, thus why the effect is more pronounced for far away objects. Unless your screen is capable of resolving more detail than your eyes can see, Anti-Aliasing will always be a compromise. Do you want jagged edges from pixels, or do you want blur? VR and Hardware tech being where it is right now, this is something we have to deal with. 1
