Flyboy-Pumpzy Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Hey everyone! I am thinking about purchasing Cliffs of Dover. I have a few questions. 1. Is it worth it / is it a good purchase to play 2. How do I activate it on steam because I am new to this? Thank you for everyone’s time and I hope everyone is doing well!
MarcusParis Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 If you love fights in warbirds, yes it is a wonderfull sim, even after one day, when you are a beginner. and go to steam, load it and play. It is vey easy. You have only to click on the game in the library of steam, after connect, of course
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Yes, it is very good and worth it. Even more so with its price right now. Albeit the answers here will be mostly biased. But in all seriousness, it is still my favorite sim for multiple reasons. Even to this day. If you enjoy it, get Tobruk too (or the bundle right away of you think you will stick to it). Are you looking to play multiplayer or single player? Multiplayer is very fun but limited to a few servers mostly running Tobruk and not too many people on (max of about 25 in the full real server TWC, that runs a dynamic campaign but needs the Tobruk addon). Blitz only multiplayer on ATAG gets a revival from time to time, bit it doesn‘t happen often. https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35168&p=376954#post376954 Single player offers a few options with the base Blitz install with a campaign for each side (I am not counting the 2nd original RAF campaign here), a 3rd party dynamic campaign generator (made by theOden) and a lot of older 3rd Party Campaigns translated by Semor (also, check the stickies in Single Player). Tobruk offers a lot more single player campaigns. Steam activation is pretty straight forward: If you decide on getting Tobruk make sure to check the ATAG forums. Lots of stuff there to download too and info from over the years. And if you want to, you can introduce yourself there and people will surely help getting you up to speed in this sim. 1
zzzxxxxzzz Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 it is worth it. It's my favorite too Try cliffs of dove blitz which is a bargain and if you like it I recommend that you also buy Desert Wings Tobruk 2

Like as if it was in Stalingrad and you just set up a quick mission to fly around and just test fly? Is there an option to do that, or is CoD only missions? Thank you for your time!
zzzxxxxzzz Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 There are several quick missions, in all of them you can choose which plane you want to fly and if there are enemy planes or not as well as companions, you can also change sides. And during the mission you can control any of the other planes that participate in it as long as they are flyable.
