hsthhsth Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Installed the new version vrperfkit_v0.2.2 but got it only working by installing the dxgi.dll version in the x86 directory. With the 64bit version I got multiple problems with IL-2.

hsthhsth Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Sorry, my bad. 32bit version doesn't work at all. IL-2 works fine but dll doesn't work. 64bit continues to hang IL-2. Going back to openvr_fsr_v2.1.1.
AcidBath Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 (edited) I also tried vrperfkit_v0.2.2 and it hangs BoS, and maybe even left behind some collateral damage once uninstalled. BTW, once I installed openvr_frs correctly, it works perfectly; it both cuts some FPS slack and the FRS sharpener does wonders at preserving the textures' details. Edited January 27, 2022 by AcidBath
=TBRIG=The_Tea_Rex Posted February 5, 2022 Posted February 5, 2022 I've installed this mod but now I can't join a bunch of MP servers because "third party modifications". The only change I have made this week is using Joystick gremlin and installing this mod, any idea whats going wrong??

Youtch Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 What about VR Reshader from Fholger, I know it might mean not going with MP, but I tried it together with FSR mod and I got very nice image. I turn sharpening off in FSR mod, just using it for upscaling and letting VR Reshader doing the sharpening. Planes have never been clearer than with this configuration. https://github.com/fholger/reshade/releases/tag/openvr_alpha2 1
Youtch Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 (edited) There is a message to upgrade to last version, because the one in the link above is an alpha pre-release. The last version seems to be an .exe making me uncomfortable, I don t know if there is any way to get only the files to copy paste in IL2 directory. Both FSRmod and VR Reshader are from the same author Fholger, but reshader has its own webpage: https://reshade.me/ It is supposed to be public code in github, but there is no mention and what to extract to game directory. OpenVR_FSR might, but you'll have to use SteamVR because it replaces the same file as OpenComposite. I haven't bothered to try it though, because the performance decrease from ditching OpenComposite isn't worth the performance increase + degraded visuals of this tool. VRPerfKit does work with native Oculus (support is in alpha), as I use it with DCS and am getting very reasonable results. In other words, it makes the sim actually playable in VR. However, it apparently doesn't work with IL-2. Again, I haven't tried it myself because I already have acceptable performance in this sim. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and all that. Download the tools from fholgars official github pages, and nowhere else. All are drag-and-drop installation and should not require any exes. It's a separate tool by another author originally created to work with regular, non-VR games. fholgar simply created a version of it that works with VR, that's all. He is not responsible for Reshade's official website. Edited February 18, 2022 by Goffik

Do you have the link to the latest version? Each time I start the game it tells me I don t have the last version and point out the official website
RedeyeStorm Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Ignore it. It has no effect. It points to the official reshape. Version 5.02. Tried it but I have no idear what I am doing so went back to Fholgers version. 1

The latest versions of fholgars tools (OpenVR_FSR, VRPerfKit, Reshade for VR) are always available on his GitHub page. Edit: It seems fholgars Reshade now links directly to the official Reshade website. I guess his work has been incorporated in to the main tool, so should be downloaded from there instead. That being the case, it is indeed an exe installer. Edited February 19, 2022 by Goffik Updated info.
Ryanair_Tsoman Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 this mod gave me better fps and allowed me to use msaa x4 with better fps than I had before without it... but weird thing happened: is there anything in this mod that forces the audio through the VR headset? i seem to no longer be able to use my speakers for il2 audio
Panzerlang Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 I've just installed the v 2.0 FSR and what a difference (default settings). Vastly improved AA and sharper image (I have FSAAx4 and no in-game sharpening in post, landscape is on blurred). Hard to tell if FPS is improved but certainly not harmed.
Youtch Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 The last version of FSR is 2.1 with parametrization.
h777ax24 Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Hi all! Today - this PACK with mods is relevant ?! google Tell me, maybe someone knows, I had a PAK installed in it, there was a whole bunch of mods, in general, one of them was a mod that changed the voice acting of radio messages on the air for different nations, I really liked it, it was added there and that it was my own, something was corrected , and is interrupted and at times hisses and clicks (this is not accurate, but it seemed to be) Who knows where you can find it separately ?! Very atmospheric, it turned out with such a mod! google
