Taurus Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) Proposal: With the additional modification of just two existing aircraft models, the amount of possible missions and campaigns is opened up exponentially, encomposing the early years of conflict on the Western Front of World War 2. Explaination of Proposal: Modification of two existing aircraft models. 1./ Bf109-E7 to Bf109-E3/E4. a. Addition of the 20mm nose cannon configuration. b. Possible flight model alterations for the weight changes with the new guns and engine types. c. Small change to existing texture template. 2./ Spitfire Mk.V to Spifire Mk.II a. Addition of x8 machine gun configuration. b. Possible flight model alterations for the weight changes with the new guns and engine types. c. Small change to existing texture template. Type of improvement; With the two new models included to the simulation envelope, it would then be possible to realise the early years of conflict on the Western Front of World War 2. This would cover the Blitzkrieg and Battle of Britain battles and campaigns. This would take full advantage of having access to the Battle of Bodenplatte and Battle of Normandy assets. Even opening the possibilty of a classic French collector aircraft. Edited November 17, 2021 by Taurus Update Bf109 configuration to either E3 or E4 as per previous topics requesting this model. 1

Taurus Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 Thanks Luke, updated proposal. I am sure technicalities will ensue. DB601A, DB601Aa etc. 1

Even opening the possibilty of a classic French collector aircraft. Except for the missing Hurricane I, Boulton Paul Defiant, Bristol Blenheim, Fairey Battle, Dornier Do17, Ju87B, and every French plane you can name (one collector aircraft isn't going to do it)... And a new map. You can't simulate BoF and BoB on a map covered in ALGs that doesn't extend further north than the southern side of the Thames Estuary. I'm afraid that just a couple of plane modifications isn't enough to recreate a whole year in the early part of the war. 1
Taurus Posted November 17, 2021 Author Posted November 17, 2021 True, I am just proposing a simple and basically cosmetic change to accomodate the period. Having a Do17, Ju87B, Wellington, extended Normandy map etc would be great. But the proposal is just a small step to expand that period, not a full BoX.
AEthelraedUnraed Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Good idea, but because of the reasons given above, I'd rather have some small modifications to better represent a 1942/Dieppe planeset. Fw-190A2/A4, Boston Mk.III... 4

Taurus Posted March 17, 2022 Author Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) A MkVa modification for 8 x 0.303 would be really appreciated. Modifications ON; Edited March 17, 2022 by Taurus
