I'd like to know what your experience is with accuracy vs other players and AI.

Maybe some additional introduction to the poll is needed or additional options.

About accuracy of players, I have seen players that often can't hit in point blank range (I see such a player, when looking into mirror) and I have seen how some players constantly kill pilots with great accuracy. I have seen players that are able to hit from great range and I have seen players that are able to hit high deflection snapshots and then I have seen players that are able to miss very easy targets.

AI probably has less variation in skill than overall player base, but I am pretty sure that novice and ace levels have different accuracies. Ace is generally well on target.

I know I have done some very high deflection snap shots, specialy flying the 190.

At the same, while flying the La5, on someone's six, the safest thing my oponent can do is fly sraight and level! I strugle a lot with that plane in that situation... if banking and turning actually helps with my aim.

I can't count how many times I've seen AI empty their entire belt of ammo into the space behind an aircraft... I'm glad the poll seems to be reporting the same. Really wish they'd fix that. some kind of check that has the AI make sure their rounds are hitting before they fire another burst without correcting.

AI tends to undershoot when engaging in turn fights, and typically empties all their ammo in very lengthy bursts.

I think they are better but overshoot a bit when flying level.

I think other players typically  undershoot as they underestimate the lead required.

I understand people who want a bigger challenge but not hitting at high deflection angles should stay the norm as very few pilots were good at deflection shooting.  But wasting all ammo in long bursts doesn’t make any sense either.

I‘d like to see the following:

rookie: like it is now

reg: using short bursts to find the right deflection at up to 300m and 30 degree (missing most)

vet: hold their fire until they maneuvered into firing position of less then 200m and 15 degree

ace: hold fire until 100m but then hitting at up to 45 degree.

Marseilles or beurlings shooting skills were so rare that I dont think they should be part of the ai routine.

The above of course against small maneuvering targets - large and non maneuvering targets could be engaged differently.

The AI are insane in head on shots.  I avoid accepting a head on with the AI at all costs.

Using "overshoot" and "undershoot" is a bit confusing as you laid it out in the poll.  Does your use of overshoot mean leading too far ahead in deflection shots, or using up ammo faster?  When you add "too much lead", I take that to mean using up ammo faster; is that right?
