MckennaCisler Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I have been having a problem with IL2 Cliffs of Dover in which the view, whether in the cockpit, outside, flyby or follow, will randomly reset to the default point (the gunsight in cockpit, some angle outside in the exterior view,) and this makes flying very difficult because you lose sight of your target. I have also noticed that the problem stops when the game is paused, and in one instance, the field of view was alternating rather than the view resetting. The severity varies, from once every couple minutes to alternating so fast it makes me dizzy. I've noticed a slight correlation with the amount of objects in the scene and therefore the strain on my computer. I am running Windows 8, using a patch to make IL2 run, and using TF Mod 3.1. If it matters, I'm also using an MSI Radeon HD 7770. The problem only started recently, and persisted after a reinstall of IL2 and the mods involved (TF 3.0 and 3.1,) as well as in the original, unmodded IL2 COD. I have had a hard time finding help online. Can anyone help? Thanks!
JG4_Continuo Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Hi Are you flying with TrackIR? Or how do you usually control your sight?
Lensman1945 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I suggest you ask your question here http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/forum.php
MckennaCisler Posted July 9, 2013 Author Posted July 9, 2013 I use both my mouse and a POV on my joystick, and it occurs with both. I did once use FreeTrack, but I am not currenlty.
MckennaCisler Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 The problem has been solved over on ATAG Forums. Thanks for the tip Lensman1945! The thread is here: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4899 It turns out the problem was FreeTrack being closed, when it would somehow affect CoD. Keeping FreeTrack on during the game solved the problem. Thanks!
